B-AWARE Campaign
About five years ago, the Hepatology Society of the Philippines decided that having a major impact on the epidemic required putting in place a strong and influential advocacy and awareness campaign that would provide education to the general public and attempt to reverse the growing epidemic.
To provide urgent action, The Hepatology Society of the Philippines together with HSP PRO and project leader Dr Janus Ong and his team (Dr Arlinking Ong-Go, Dr Cathy Lei Mercado, Dr.Edhel Tripon, Dr Mara Panlilio, Dr. Gelo Lozada, Dr Allyn Lomboy and Ivan Michael Vicente) created an awareness campaign called B Aware, to increase awareness and improve understanding of hepatitis B. People who understand better will be more familiar with the risk factors, know when to get tested and seek effective treatment. Let us join HSP campaign against hepatitis B.
